Sabrina Love Ocean Challenge 2015
Plett’s largest and favourite sports event is hitting the town again between 21st - 23st December! From streetlamps to shop fronts, the Plett community comes to the party to support the home-grown Sabrina Love Ocean Challenge.
Those visiting Plett for the first time might ask what the Sabrina Love Ocean Challenge is all about?
The Mission Statement is: "To create a fund, which will continue in perpetuity to assist physically disabled children who require financial assistance either for equipment, medical treatment or professional help. The assistance will create in one form or another to better quality of life for these children and their families!"
Events start on 21st December at Central Beach with a first time ever 10km run. The fun continues on 22nd December with a 15 km Paddle for single and doubles, 1 Mile Ocean Swim, 5 km Assisted (fins/boards) Ocean Swim, 5 km Ocean Swim unassisted and a Fun Walk for Children and Adults.
Events move on 23rd December from Central Beach to the rural splendour of Kurland Hotel and Polo Estate - a perfect mix of beach and mountains for the full range of sporting activities supporting this worthy cause! Events include a 25 km MTB race, 6 km Trail Run, 10 km Trail Run and a Kids of Steel – Swim & Run challenge.
