Health care recently received a very positive and much needed boost in Plettenberg Bay. Thanks to vision and determination, the efforts of a small group have paid off.
The Hope Pregnancy Centre recently opened their doors to help those who find themselves in a crisis pregnancy. The aim of this facility is to help those in need through counselling to defuse their anxiety and overwhelming pressures, and to empower each individual in the challenging choices before them. Besides counselling, those in the program will also receive baby clothing, parenting courses and access to teen support groups. They offer free pregnancy tests and pre- natal instruction.
As a community we can support them in so many ways. To mention one, is to donate any items that mum and baby will need during this fragile time. Please think of these wonderful causes that are available in your community the next time you have items that are taking up space and that could be put to good use by this cause.
