“With great power comes great responsibility” and it's no coincidence that the Garden Route and Plettenberg Bay in particular is one of South Africa’s most loved holiday destinations.
Annually during the summer holiday season, Plettenberg Bay receives over 100 000 visitors who come to enjoy our unspoiled beauty. Apart from having the Big 5, we also have mountains covered with Fynbos, National Parks and the pride of 4 blue flag beaches, KEURSBOOM-STRAND, LOOKOUT BEACH, NATURES VALLEY, and ROBBERG 5 BEACH. Plettenberg Bay is also known for its incredible food scene.
It takes a lot of hard work and effort from both government and the local communities to dispose of waste in such a way that it does not affect the environment negatively and we thank everyone involved for realizing their responsibility and for their efforts to keep Plettenberg Bay clean.
Only a handful of places on earth have managed with success to keep their natural beauty clean for our enjoyment and to have 4 Blue flag beaches is evidence of the amazing local team work.
The gift of life is a privilege and for that reason we all have a share in how we treat the environment and what footprint we leave behind, our legacy. Whether or not we live in Plettenberg Bay or only come for a vacation, let’s remember to leave nothing but footprints and take nothing but happy memories and photos.
The friendly people of Plettenberg Bay once again invite you to come and join us for another great holiday season. We look forward to seeing you in Plett 2015/2016.
