Location
Based in Ekurhuleni (former East Rand), Kempton Park has been part of the City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality since 2000. Kempton Park is located on the western city limits of Ekurhuleni and shares its administrative boundaries with South Africa's largest city, Johannesburg.History
Kempton Park was established in 1903 when Karl Friedrich Wolff sub-divided a portion of his Zuurfontein farm into 216 residential plots and named the new town “Kempten” after the German town in Bavaria of his birth. Soon after, the name was changed to Kempton Park.O.R Tambo International Airport (Africa's busiest airport) is located in Kempton Park. In 1952 the airport, then known as Jan Smuts International Airport, was built on land next to the town, and officially opened in 1953. The airport's name was changed to Johannesburg International Airport in the late 1990s and then to O.R Tambo International Airport in 2006.

One thousand theatre-goers can enjoy show-stopping entertainment in the 17 tiered auditorium with lavish seating and exceptional lines of sight. Numerous international, as well as local acts, have graced the stage at the Theatre of Marcellus including, Barry Hilton, Nataniel, Steve Hofmeyr, Johnny Clegg, Casper de Vries and Kurt Darren.
If you’re after a quality brew, then Triple Desire Brewery is where you’ll find it. Triple Desire Brewery, the name behind Embombi Premium Lager, was founded in August 2014 by Thabiso Molekwa. Since then, the brewery has continued to create fantastic flavours and showcase these via regular tastings at bars, pubs, taverns and restaurants throughout Johannesburg and its surrounding townships. The Embombi Premium Lager is Triple Desire’s signature beer and is definitely worth a try! At the moment, the Triple Desire Brewery does not have a permanent base. However, the beers are often showcased at various festivals and events around Gauteng.

Con Amore is a school for learners with severe intellectual disabilities and specific learning requirement. They have 347 learners ranging from 6 to 20 years in the school. These learners are from all over the East Rand.
PLG Willow View Academy is a new school ideally situated close to OR Tambo International Airport, located next to a beautiful willow-bordered lake. The School offers schooling from Grade RRR – Grade 12 in 2018.
Shangri-La Academy offers schooling from grade 1 to matric. Their aim is to provide students with the skills necessary to not only compete, but excel.
