Enthusiastic Businessman and Entrepreneur.
Born in 1961 in the Town of Pietermaritzburg in Kwa -Zulu Natal.
Primary school started in Bergville Natal and Later Park view in Johannesburg. High school years were spent at Linpark High in Pietermaritzburg and matriculated there in 1979.
In January 1980 I was called up for compulsory Military service for 2 years. I started in the infantry and later transferred to the Medical Corps due to my paramedic’s experience.
During my Army training I was employed by Atlas Aircraft Corporation as an apprentice Aircraft Turner Machinist making, machining and repairing aircraft parts for various helicopters and fighter jets in the Airforce and others. During my apprenticeship I studied Mechanical Engineering
I qualified in 1982 as a Turner Machinist and worked for 2 engineering companies, the one making brake parts for the motor industry and the other cutting tips for the mining industry.
Gaining more experience, I worked for the oil companies, like Esso, BP, Caltex in the technical, consumer, transport and retail departments.
In 1987 I owned a BP petrol filling station in Randfontein. Sold it and started Ice for Africa in 1992, manufacturing Ice in Roodepoort, Kew , Jhb and Epping Cape town. The next step was to open a dry ice manufacturing plant in Spartan.
In 2011 we started a medical devices company focused on pain management and related products.
Bought my first vacant stand in Plett 30 years ago and then 2 apartments which I let out the first one B&B and self-use and the other long term.
I moved to Plett 4 years ago and decided to enter into the Real Estate business. I was offered a position with Engel & Völkers and started studying for my NQF4 Property practitioner’s qualification.
I joined Century 21 in February 2025
